The Goldfields Sustainability Group is hosting a “Living With Electricity” event at Paul Tidyman Automotive’s car showroom. Expert speakers will include:
The Energy Grid – Geoffrey Caine (Deeca)
The session will discuss:
- Changes to the grid and the mix of energy sources
- How the grid is managed
- Achieving renewable energy targets
- Confidence levels the grid after the federal election

Frank is one of our foremost local renewable energy experts. He will cover:
- Where we are at with household renewable energy in our area
- What are locals investing in? (Solar panels, heat pumps, batteries, EV chargers, off grid etc)
- What has been learned through the monthly EV workshops over the past year?
- Potential of EVs to power homes and the grid

- What equipment and training was involved?

Panel – 5 min fantastic facts & first hand feats
This will be a fun 5 minute timed panel session featuring stories from locals. Stories will include experiences with battery powered devices, electric bikes, EV’s, induction cooktops, mowers, trimmers etc. We will also hear from local tradespeople who will talk about installation, supply, performance and repairs relation to renewable energy products
